The Central Bank of Cuba has begun implementing cryptocurrency solutions for international settlements. As part of an experimental program, 10 companies have received licenses to use digital assets.

The program is designed for one year and is aimed at studying the possibilities of using cryptocurrencies in cross-border financial operations. Participants in the experiment will be able to use digital assets for international payments and settlements.

The launch of such a regime allows to assess the effectiveness of cryptocurrency tools in conditions of limited access to traditional financial infrastructure. It also provides an opportunity to test new models of interaction with foreign partners.

The use of cryptocurrencies for international operations can increase the speed of transactions and simplify calculations between companies from different countries. During the experiment, the regulator will analyze the results and assess the prospects for further expansion of such solutions.

Cuba's initiative reflects the growing interest in cryptocurrencies at the state level and demonstrates the desire to integrate digital assets into the financial system.
