The largest share of losses was brought by schemes related to fake investment offers. In such cases, fraudsters use promises of high returns, attracting users to participate in dubious projects.

A significant part of the losses fell on older users. According to available data, about 40% of the total damage is associated with people over 60 years old, which emphasizes the importance of a careful approach to investment decisions.

It is worth noting separately the growth of fraud using artificial intelligence technologies. Here over the year, more than 22,000 such complaints were registered, and the total damage in such cases approached 900 million dollars.

At the same time, the development of the cryptocurrency industry is accompanied by an increase in security measures and the emergence of new user protection tools. This contributes to the formation of a more resilient and technologically advanced financial environment.
