This was announced by the project's founder Justin Sun, noting that the implementation of new cryptographic standards is becoming critically important against the backdrop of rapid technological development.

The release of updates in the main network (mainnet) is already planned for the third quarter, which speaks of the high speed of implementation of the project's ambitious roadmap. Such a pace reflects not only the technological readiness of the team, but also the growing concern of the industry with security issues.

The reason for the statement was the demonstration of hacking a simplified 15-bit key Bitcoin using a variation of the Shor's Algorithm. Although we are talking about a test model, the fact itself has intensified the discussion about the future resilience of blockchains.

In Sun's opinion, in the era of artificial intelligence and quantum computing, the creation of quantum-resistant solutions is no longer an option, but a necessity. If TRON implements the planned, it may set a new security standard for the entire industry.
