The State Duma of Russia has passed in the first reading a bill aimed at legalizing the cryptocurrency market. The document forms the legal basis for working with digital assets and defines the key rules for their use.

According to the initiative, cryptocurrency will be officially recognized as property. This opens up the opportunity to legally acquire digital assets through licensed Russian platforms, as well as with the participation of brokers and management companies.

Special attention is paid to market regulation. Control over the activities of participants and the issuance of permits will be under the jurisdiction of the Bank of Russia. This approach is aimed at creating a more transparent and structured environment for operations with cryptocurrencies.

The adoption of the bill in the first reading is an important stage in the development of the industry. The document can still be revised, but it already sets the vector for the integration of cryptocurrencies into the country's financial system.
